Liosgarbh Ead in for a comfortable trip in the Williamhill – The Home Of Betting Stakes
Expected to improve drastically in the Grade A2 Williamhill – The Home Of Betting Stakes is the two-year-old black b***h, Liosgarbh Ead. She will be confronted by four more rivals in the field on Tuesday, 9th October at Newcastle over 480 metres
flat.
Elwick Joaquin, Lanesdown Drop, Hey Cosmo and Old Fort Mission complete the line-up for the £127 prize money race. All the participants are well seasoned in the grade, but some have been more successful than the others.
Liosgarbh Ead has been racing since the last season. She was first racing at Shawfield and now has shifted to Newcastle with Hove in between. She too has gained experience at almost all the grades.
The G. Carmichael trained ended third in the Grade A2 Bet On Your Mobile At williamhill.com on 4th October, 2012 at Newcastle over 480 metres. Even though she drew clear after breaking from the second stall, she could not beat the speed of the
winner, Ferndale Falcon, who timed the track distance in 29.08 seconds, while Target Sue went across the wire by a neck’s mark.
Head Bound’s daughter out of, Lass Kewell, will race in the red. She has raced out of the box before too, but has never won when taking off from that the first gate. Falling into an early pace and keeping a check on the level of competition throughout the
track distance will ensure her a smooth trip.
Not very famous at the track right now, the two-year-old is putting in her best to get comfortable and accustomed to the track. The race will boost her confidence and experience even if she does not get the winner’s crown.
It is being expected from Elwick Joaquin that he will at least finish in the frame of the first three positions. His last race saw him qualifying as the runner-up.
The fifth trap, Hey Cosmo, is one of those entries who surprise the crowds and the connections by coming into the limelight right at the concluding phases of the race.
Seeking out for luck in the track tonight is the two-year-old, Old Fort Mission.
