  1. I think it's probably fine.

I just got mine done about 2-3 months now.

It hurt really bad the 2nd week, way more than it did on the 1st.

Take an advil or two to make the swelling go down, and make sure you keep cleaning it.

If you do that, you'll be fine.

  2. i got mine done a week ago.

they told me it should only hurt for 2 weeks.

make sure you were cleaning it as much as you are supposed to.

  3. Oral piercings tend to stay sore longer cause you move your mouth around so much more than the other parts of your body that you get pierced (like your nose, for example). In addition, your mouth has a LOT of nerve endings, so it's more sensitive.

As long as the piercing doesn't look overly swollen still, and isn't discolored, the soreness is probably normal. You can try sucking on ice and taking painkillers to help, and trying to keep from moving your lip should help.

If it really is worrying you, though, contacting the person who did the piercing is the safest way to go. They should be able to take a look at it and tell you how its doing, and most piercers are happy to answer questions and make sure that customers don't have infections.
