Lip piercingg !?

Question

Alright i have alott of questions.

I'm 15 and ive been DYING to get a lip piercing for everr.

My mom already said yess.

Ive heard it dosent hardly even hurtt..

But heres the deal..

My dad would KILLL me if i got onee.

So i'm probably going to get it done tomorrow,

And 2 weeks after tomorrow, i;m going to my dads housee =/

Could i take the piercing out just for one day and night, and put it back right when i get home?

I think it will close up and it dosent sound like a good idea..

First, a new healing piercing should never be taken out. It exposes the hole to bacteria and causes more irritation when you're taking it out and putting it back in.

Secondly, it would close by the time you want to put it back in. I've had mine for two years and would close probably within hours. And it's completely healed.

Just wait until your older and your dad is OK with it. You won't die from not getting a lip piercing.

no you cant take it out it will close and youll have to get it redone

and it does hurt

dont lie to your dad just tell him about it

if you act grown up he may not get mad

about it but hiding isnt a grown up thing to do

it will close- i've had mine for 8 years and they try to close up still if i leave the ring out more than 30 min

It will defiantly close and it might get infected aswell. Ive had mine for a few years and it still closes after having it out for just a couple hours.

You shouldn't hide it from your dad, I know how scary it would be for you to face your dad with it, but surely he will get over it sooner or later? It's your body, not his! :P When I got my lip done (with my dads permission) I had to go to my moms house and deal with my step dad who is the biggest hard-*** in the world!

It should be okay, just watch it and if you see if getting smaller just put the ring in and twist it around a little bit, then take it back out to keep the hole open.  I did my lip ring myself, and they close very easily and quick for the first couple of weeks.

if you take it out. you will not get it back in I could barely move mine for about 1 or 2 weeks after I had them done it hurt so bad. Between the crust from it scabbing and trying to heal and just the tenderness It hurt a lot. I cannot even imagine trying to take them out completely and put them back in. If you have it out for more then a few hours within a month of having it done, chances are you wont get it back it in.

So you should just be patient and wait to have it done :-). you are still young and have plenty of time to have piercings.

Oh and it doesn't hurt too bad to have it pierced just the cleaning and rotating the weeks after hurts a lot.Actually getting the piercing is nothing.

you should  not have to hide something like that from him it prob will hurt worse then getting your cartilage pierced like i have i have that pierced i am 12 years old but i would strongly not advise taking it out not a good idea the hole might close up and i don't think you should have to take the risk of it closing if your dad says anything tell him your mom said it was alright

idk it mite put it back in wehen he falls asleep lock yur door at nite [so he dosnt walk in and see it] and take it out till yu get home this juss mite work xP

u should do what u think. fact is that lip piercing recede ur gum line and that hurts and it is very bad for ur teeth

Yes you can by then your lip will already adjust to the piercing
