Marcello Lippi, former head coach of Juventus FC, has gone on to remark on the happenings in the Serie A, and reflected on players he feels will perform in the New Year
Marcello Lippi still keeps an eye on the on goings of the Italian domestic football and during his conversation with the media personnel; he went on to remark on the performances of the players he feels will be performing extremely well in the upcoming season.
While talking to the press and discussing the Serie A players, he earmarked Stephan El Shaarawy and Andrea Pirlo as the two players he feels would be performing exceptionally well.
If this prediction of the former Italian head coach proves to be correct, then it can only be good news for the national team as well as Juventus and AC Milan would bear the fruits of their performances. El Shaarawy and Pirlo have been performing extremely
well during this session of the Serie A, and the young Italian has been the breakthrough player of this season. He currently leads the Serie A goal scoring charts, and is ahead of the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Antonio-Di-Natale-c6306
in the rankings.
Pirlo has had a great year as well, despite having a dip in form due to the heavy congestion of matches; he drove the club to victory in the Scudetto. While reflecting on the above stated players, he was giving an interview to Tuttosport, and during his
discussion with the media, he has gone on to comment that Pirlo is highly motivated to perform for Juventus and for the national team as well and went on to remark:
“El Shaarawy has started the season in an exceptional manner. I don’t know if he’ll be able to score every weekend as regularly as he is at the moment, but I’m sure the Milan talent will continue to be a protagonist in 2013. Pirlo was given a huge motivational
boost by starting from scratch at Juventus and also the fact he couldn’t give his best in the 2010 World Cup due to injuries. This makes me think he’ll continue firing on all cylinders until the 2014 World Cup. He is extraordinary.”
Lippi is currently the head coach of Guangzhou Evergrande.
