The former head coach of the Turin giants went on to state his opinions over the players linked with the club and furthermore went on to remark on Del Piero.
Juventus surprised everyone with their performances in the last season and they are expected to perform on a higher level given the number of players that have made their way into the Turin outfit this summer.
The Bianconeri have been extremely busy in the transfer market and have not shied away from splashing the cash for the services of top quality players. Juve has strengthened their midfield, an area where they were head and shoulders above any side in the
Serie A last season, with the acquisitions of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Kwadwo-Asamoah-c21502 from Udinese.
They have also signed http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lucio-c22597 for a free transfer from Internazionale to give back up to their already strong defence.
However, despite all the strengthening of the squad, one area where Juventus have faltered has been the area of their attacking prowess. A major point of concern has been the fact that their highest goal scorer for the season was http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alessandro-Matri-c4733 who pitched
in with 10 goals in the Serie A.
This led to an acknowledgement and promise by the Director General of Juventus that they would bring in a top quality striker to the club. Two strikers who have been heavily linked with a move to the Turin outfit are Edin Dzeko and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fernando-Llorente-c13671, and
Lippi recommended that any of the two players would bring quality to the side and stated:
“They are both great players. If one of them arrived then the team will have been significantly strengthened for the Champions League.”
Lippi went on to comment on the future of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alessandro-Del-Piero-c4726 and stated his affection for the legendary Bianconeri striker, he further stated that he hoped that Del Piero would keep on playing, and remarked:
“I love Del Piero and I hope that he continues to play football if that is his desire, but if his career ends with Juventus then that would be a romantic finale.”
Del Piero and the club management parted ways with each other this summer following an announcement in October.
