I went to start my car, when I noticed that my front passenger seat floor had about an inch of water on it. That night was raining but the doors, windows and sunroof were closed. Now, whenever it rains, the front passenger seat floor appear with water.

I have a Dodge Neon SXT 2003.

  1. check the lower front corner of the windshield those was real bad to leak around that area and also check the side drains on it, if one of those gets stopped up that causes the water to build up and run in the inside of the car instead of on the outside underneath of it where it should come out at,you may have to take an air hose and blow these out real good,i owned a neon before and i had to clean these about every two years or it would do the same thing, you can also wash this out with a water hose and that will also help you find the leak in it spray the water through the outside vents and see what happens ,,good luck.

  2. windshield leak

  3. just because the door is closed does not mean it can't leak. Take a look at the weather stripping on your doors, windows and windshield. If any of the weatherstripping looks even the slightest bit damaged, that is a potential leak.

Debris (stuff like leaves and general natural debris) can gather between the weatherstripping and speed up rot.
