Question:

Lisbon Treaty - How can you accept something that you don't understand?

A stupid lefty comic (marcus brigstock) invited onto question time for some bizzare reason ridiculed people in favour of a referrendum becaue they hadn't read and understood it.

Surely if the treaty is so hard to understand that most people don't understand it, then it must be sent back to be simplified and clarified - we can't sign a blank cheque!

If the only way to send it back is to have a referrendum then it is entirely logical for those who don't understand to demand that referrendum so they can send it back.

If you don't understand it (and most people dont) then you cannot seriously suggest that you should sign it...

  1. i agree

    i don't understand it

how are we supposed to vote yes or no if we don't know what either of them mean??

and whats wrong with the Left?

  2. why do people in the street need to understand it, that is why we elect our MP's this is just a load of fuss over nothing, most people in the street could not tell you how many country's there are in Europe never mind what the treaty means.

stop trying to make matters worse

  3. Ignore it.

treat it with the contempt it deserves.

  4. Marcus Brigstock, like most on the left, think that the great unwashed (public) can`t add 2 and 2 together and have to be guided by them (pass the sick bag).  Whats wrong with the left? - if you saw Brigstock, the answer is staring you in the face.

  5. My thoughts exactly. Well said sir! When I signed my mortgage agreement, I read through it. I checked the pros and cons, and then I signed it. If I did not, I would not have signed it. The Treaty of Lisbon was deliberately designed to be unreadable to all but legal experts, and this comedian has proved the joke really isn't that funny...
