Lisiere likely to shine in Billy Nevett Memorial Handicap
Lisiere has got a great chance of shining in the Billy Nevett Memorial Handicap at Ripon in England on Monday, August 27, 2012. She is carrying a very good momentum right now, but will have to be extremely competitive in order to claim the cash prize of
£4,528 from the class-4 event.
There are quite a few runners, who have won their most recent race and all of them will be in contention of a victory in the 6 furlong event, which is scheduled to start at 15:00 GMT. Moreover, the going has been described as good because of the dry weather
conditions overnight.
Out of the 10 runners participating in the race, See Clearly has managed to win the confidence of the bookmakers, as she has been given the best odds today. She has appeared at Ripon on three occasions, but managed to be successful just once. She was also
rated as the favourite to win last time around and lived up to the expectations of everyone and a similar result is expected from her.
However, things will not be easy for the favourite filly, as she will have to fight her way to the top against a quality runner like Lisiere, who has been given a general starting price of 7 to 1 by the bookies. The bookies will definitely be interested
in placing a few bets on her, as there is a solid chance for her to finish ahead of the others.
The three-year-old filly has participated in a total of six events, but managed to win just a couple of them. In addition to that, she has also finished as a runner up once, which shows what she is capable of doing.
Excellent Art’s daughter debuted in 2011, but was unable to win any race that year. However, her team would not have been worried because of that, as she only appeared in a couple of events during that time period.
In 2012, the Mrs K. Burke’s trainee appeared in four races and has managed to win a couple of them. She has proved to be competitive under different conditions, thus the going will not matter much to her.
Michael Metcalfe will be the one partnering Lisiere in the race at Ripon today.
