  1. I have been on it for about 3 mo, along with Bisoprolol fumarate.

My bp went from about 190/95 to about 85/55. I felt so bad I had to get the doc to lower the dosage.  I take 10 mg and 5 mg of bisopro. My bp is still down like 100/60.

I feel so weak I can hardly get around, and I do not sleep well. I don't want to get out of bed, and when I do, I just want to sit down.

I have an apt with both the gp and cardiologist next week- I will try to get off this med. I do not like it.

  2. My friend had nightmares because of it. She would literally get up, get in the shower, get dressed, then realize it was only 2am and there was no reason for her to be up. She wouldn't remember getting up and doing anything. Her nightmares were awful too. She also had a cough because of it.

  3. I have had a heart attack and have been left with unstable angina,I have been on lisinopril for a few years now as well as other drugs for the heart and have never once had a problem with them.

  4. Lisinopril is a Ace Inhibitor used to control high blood pressure.  If you are sexually active make sure that you do not get pregnant because this drug could cause birth defects.  Vomiting, diarrhea, or heavy sweating can cause you to become dehydrated. This can lead to very low blood pressure, electrolyte disorders, or kidney failure while you are taking lisinopril. Drink plenty of water each day while you are taking this medication.Do not use salt substitutes or potassium supplements while taking lisinopril, unless your doctor has told you to.

Lisinopril is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension), congestive heart failure, and to improve survival after a heart attack.

There are a lot of side effects that go along with this.  It works wonderfully to bring down the blood pressure but I could not take it because it made me cough.  I had this dry cough that was so bothersome I couldn't stand it.  The doctor had to change meds with me.  However my husband is fine with it.  Never stop a medication without notify the doctor first.  It could be deadly.  Hope this helps you out.

  5. Yes... I didnt like the medicine at all it made my blood pressure drop to low so i got off of it... but no other side effect other then that!
