Lisnakill Chez leads the way to victory in A2 race at Oxford
In the world of greyhound racing, an extra burst of speed is often the difference between a win and a loss. Lisnakill Chez’s quick pace allowed her to shoot ahead of the pack and win the
A2 race during a day of exciting 450m races at the Oxford Greyhound Stadium.
Starting from trap four, Lisnakill Chez (7-2) moved very quickly away from the pack, and always held the lead. She went on to finish the race in fine form with a time of 27.27. Finishing
2 lengths behind her was second-place finisher Ballyhoe Bertie (5-1). He moved slowly away and checked wide, but he rebounded to finish well in 27.43.
Veggie Man (6-1) held an early pace from trap one, running a steady race to finish in 27.63, 2½ lengths out of second place. Laying claim on fourth place was Alfies Cracker (4-1). He moved
slowly away and crowded first en route to a fourth-place finish in 27.79, which placed him 2 lengths out of the top three.
Gogetemkate, the 2-1 favourite, placed fifth after crowding third, losing ¾ lengths as a result. She went on to complete the race in 27.85. Last-place finisher Ashcroft Colin (3-1) held
an early pace, but crowded third. His time of 27.93 placed him 1 length behind out of fifth place.
In the A3 race, 5-2 favourite Frisky Geezer dominated the pack, racing to a close first-place finish. Coming out of trap four, he crowded the run up and led first, which gave him the victory
in 27.55. Dance Charmaine (4-1) was the second-place finisher. She crowded second, but ran on to complete the race in 27.63, which placed her a single length out of the top spot.
Third place went to Hondos Saga (7-2), who crowded first, but ran on to finish a neck’s length behind Dance Charmaine in 27.65. Chillout Dinjoe (3-1) lost 4 lengths after crowding first,
resulting in a finishing time of 27.97.
An early pace was not enough for Benvista Energy (5-1), as he went very wide soon afterward. He could not make up for lost ground fast enough, finishing the race in 28.05. The sixth and
final position was claimed by Glynscross Enda (7-2). He moved slowly away from the pack, and went on to crow first and third. He finished in 28.08, which was a neck behind Benvista Energy.
The greyhound races at Oxford Greyhound Stadium will resume on Saturday 13 November. The first race of the evening will begin at 19:25.
