Lisnakill Travis aiming a fourth win in row through the Alpha Feeds Standard Trophy – Heat 2
The second heat of the Alpha Feeds Standard Trophy will be held at Nottingham over 500 metres flat on Monday, 11th June. Taking part in the race tonight are Ballymac Barn, Lisnakill Travis, Salacres Vision, Madeley, Oneco Talent and Lethal Roy.
The most accomplished entry for the race is Lisnakill Travis, Kinloch Brae’s three-year-old black son out of b***h, Island Run. The current season marks his debut season which he started off with getting drilled over 305 metres at Nottingham on 23rd
March. The three-year-old was through with it in 18.48 seconds.
On 30th March, he won his seasonal debut which was in a 500 metres race at Nottingham. He completed the trip in 30.89 seconds and led the runner up of the race, Romeo Sergio, by one and a half lengths.
After scoring second he won a 305 metres race at Nottingham on 28th April by timing the track distance in 18.37 seconds. He led the field by six and a half lengths and had Summerfield Fire settling the closest.
After failing to a miserable sixth position in the next race, he was trained over 305 metres at Nottingham which he settled in 18.19 seconds. As effective as any training session can prove out to be, Lisnakill Travis struck a hat trick by dominating all
the three races that came his way.
He won a Grade A1 500 metres flat on 18th May at Nottingham by reaching the other end of the wire in 30.38 seconds. He led the 4/5 favourite runner up of the race, Westferry Kaden, by two and a half lengths.
He won a Grade A2 500 metres flat on 26th May at Nottingham as the ½ favourite of the race and timed the track distance in 30.58 seconds and led the field by one and a half lengths.
His final stroke for the hat trick was in the Stadium Bookmakers Maiden Standard Trophy on 4th June at Nottingham over 500 metres. The 7/4 joint favourite winner was done racing in 30.26 seconds and led by six and a half lengths.
He has the highest of the chances to extend his hat trick today.
