Lissom Jack convinced about the Niall Mile Or Thereabouts Race
There are quite a few potential candidates in the line-up of the Grade OR Niall Mile Or Thereabouts Race to take back to the connections the winner’s share out of the total prize money of £200. The 280 metres flat race will be held at Sheffield on Tuesday,
13th November. The contestants include Fairly Handy, Little Reminder, Stepaside Eagle, Lissom Jack, Lionhearted Andy and Two For Atanner.
One of the entries for the race tonight who has been progressing steadily is the two-year-old black dog, Lissom Jack. He is backed by 3 to 1 odds and has drawn a tricky trap to race out from, fourth.
Eskimo Jack’s dog cracked open into the racing career just this season and has proved his potential time and again. The two-year-old was quick to strike a hat-trick at the OR level.
Lissom Jack was impressive in the H. T. B Electrical Contractors Sprint Trophy Final on 31st August, 2012 at Sunderland over 261 metres. The sixth trap was quick to set himself apart from the rest of the lot, and maintained the lead until the
wire, concluding the race in 15.65 seconds.
The favourite entry, Ballymac Jones, missed the winner’s crown by 2 ½ lengths.
Capturing the prize money of the first heat of the Betfred ‘The Bonus King’ Supporting The RGT Sprint Trophy on 10th September, 2012 at Nottingham. Once again he broke in the colours of the last trap, and led on to the wire from the first position
taking advantage of the wide end.
It took him 17.80 seconds to settle the race, and defeat Slick Seabreeze by 2 ¼ lengths.
The two-year-old out of, Fantastic, achieved his most recent success through the Grade OR Final Gold Trophy on 26th October, 2012 at Pelaw Grange. Racing in the orange vest, the two-year-old distanced himself from the rest of the lot and then
got to the wire in 14.70 seconds after staying glued to the lead.
He set aside, Kreschatik Paddy, as the runner-up, defeating the favourite entry by 1 ¾ lengths.
The favourite entry for tonight is, Fairly Handy, who has drawn the first trap.
