I agree with the guy up top..... what kinda question is this.

  7. Hi! My class did this last year and the year before- I had to come up with all these things!

    1. Encourage students to bring water bottles to school- show them how much water they are using by drinking from bubblers.

    2. Put up posters in the bathrooms reminding people to use the half flush button- it saves 3L of water!

    3. Send letters to your P&C (or other school group like student council) requesting water tanks, and explain why you need them and ask if the school could apply for a grant!

    4. Explain to people that they should only turn taps a quarter of the way around! It saves HEAPS of water!

    5. You can do your small parts- make sure you bring a drink bottle each day, use the half flush buttons on toilets, turn taps a quarter of the way.

    6. Talk on parade! Explain the importance of water and our earth!

    7. If your shy, you can just explain to the class! Maybe then your friends will help you and explain it to the other classes!

    8. Maybe put on a day for your school to do a community presentation- that way your message can get out to the community!

    9. Do up posters and stick them up around the school (ask for permission first of course!)

    10. Just conserve what's there- water or not!

  8. - Make sure taps and such have no leaks.

    - Keep a bucket underneath taps and use the water saved in them for gardening.

    - Avoid flushing the toilet when unnecessary ("If it's yellow let it mellow, if it's brown flush it down"). And avoid throwing tissues in the toilets, instead throw in a proper bin.

    - Never put water down the drain when there may be another use for it such as cleaning or watering a plant or garden.

    - Water lawns during the early morning hours when temperatures and wind speed are the lowest. This reduces loss from evaporation.

    - In the school yard, use mulch to retain moisture in the soil. Mulching also helps to control weeds that compete with plants for water.

    - Do not hose your driveway or sidewalk. Use a broom to sweep leaves and other debris from these areas. Using a hose to clean a paths can waste hundreds of gallons of water.

    - Avoid the installation of ornamental water features (such as fountains) unless the water is recycled. Locate where there are minimal losses due to evaporation and wind drift.

    - Be aware of and follow all water-conservation and water-shortage rules and restrictions, which may be in effect in your area.

    - Support efforts and programs to create a concern for water conservation among tourists and visitors to our state. Make sure visitors understand the need for, and benefits of, water conservation.

    - Conserve water because it is the right thing to do. Don't waste water just because someone else (like the school) is paying the bill such as when you are staying at a hotel.

  9. Dont flush

    dont use the drinking fountain

tackle the custodian before he can get the mop ready

    break the teachers coffee machine

    break the sprinkler heads off

turn off the main water supply for the school

bring your own water to drink

    drink soda

    etc...

  10. I know my school has the automatic facets in the bathrooms... water only comes on when the hands are under it... this way nobody leaves them on too long and they don't drip.

There are also special toilets that conseve water... most new toilets do this now from what I know

  11. 1 - Don't flush after you drop a deuce

2 - Don't wash your hands after you drop a deuce

3 - Hit the water sprinklers with great force

4 - Drop a deuce in the water fountains to prevent others from drinking

5 - Bring your own water bottle to school on those very hot days

6 - Do a presentation in class that convinces your peers that water is in fact detrimental to their health

7 - When a fire breaks out in your school encourage your peers to urinate over the flames or have all the fat kids stop-drop-and-roll over the flames to put it out.

8 - Drop a deuce in the water cooler in the teachers lounge.

9 - During the hot spring season encourage peers to use BB or paint ball guns instead of water fights

10 - She drop it down to the floor, I'm sayin shorty you should go, and she like RADDA RADDAH, raddah.

  12. If you want to  save water, do not look for 10 ways when one alone will accomplish the task.

Propose that either your school or your municipality install a complete water reclamation system. When all of your water used is being reclaimed, your only environmental impact is the energy used to pump the water.

My home, and all the homes around here are required by law to have a complete reclamation system so that the only water we waste is flood water. We are planning to install facilities to save that too.
