The three zones are Polar, Temperate and Tropical. It depends on your line of latitude. Between 23 1/2N and 23 1/2S is Tropical. Between (23 1/2N and 66N) and (23 1/2S and 66S) is Temperature and between (66N and 90N) and  (66S and 90S) is Polar.
