  1. try http://www.cheap-fun-family-travel.com/C... for some great camping recipes

  2. Here are a few ideas:

packages of dried fruit and nuts

    peanut butter

    crackers

canned food (beans, vienna sausages if you like them, luncheon meat, etc.)

instant soup mixes and cup of soup

    instant oatmeal

    dry cereal

    skim milk powder

    granola bars

a cooler with meats if you want to barbeque or cook - bacon, steaks, sausages, eggs

    cheese

Most likely you will be able to buy some things at the campsite so see if you can find out what will be available there.  Don't forget insect repellent, sunscreen, flashlights.

  3. Depends what facilities the campsite has, if it has it's own bar then chances are they'll serve food there so you can get away with not taking anything.

However if you want to cook or they don't have facilities we normally take a bbq and use that too cook so whatever you feel like putting on a bbq.

One thing I would say is don't over pack on the food side like we did first time we went, we ended up taking home most of the food to brought with us.

  4. mate I'm telling you us aussie just have some snags(sausages)

    and baked beans.

just dont light i lighter in the tent after of u will loose ya hair lol

  5. packets of flavored oatmeal

    packets of gatorade mix

    cans of corned beef hash

    powdered milk

    dried fruit

    power bars

    snickers bars

    beef jerky

    pasta

    packets of flavoring for pasta

    bread

  6. And you want it in list form?  It's not good enough that we are helping you plan your trip, but you also feel the need to give us formatting advice?  Not a good start for your first week here.

Fresh milk for drinking, powdered milk for other uses

    Cereal

    Hot Dogs/Buns/Condiments

    Sandwich fixings

Pancake Mix (Jsut add water/milk kind)

    Fruit/veggies

Eggs (the ones that come in the milk-type carton)

Jiffy pop for the open fire

    Bacon

    Water

    Ice

    A nice steak

    Baking potatoes and tinfoil

Don't forget a bin and stuff to wash dishes with.
