oh btw. Imagine a chihuahua but HUGE. Now that would be effing scary dog. Thank god they are so tiny.

any small dog with a loud persistent bark will do. They will let me know when someone is up to no good. I have a springfield armory 1911- A1 (.45 caliber) to take care of troublemakers after that.

nothing like a small yappy dog for being a great alarm.

Add: My rottie mix is the best guard dog I have seen! She is very protective of me and if a robber came in my house she would get them.

You guys are forgetting Doberman Pinschers!  They used to only be used to guarding purposes.  They are the original, scary, attack dogs.
