  1. Well the ones with whom you have listed are pretty much the ones who frequent here(except Harry potter) and I would imagine their teachings as well would be similar to that of a wizard, which is a term I connect with a person using ceremonial magic.magic si magic, energy, how you channel it ,use it  gives it the various "types" that are out there. So as i said the person, the wizard, using it would have to learn about the laws, responsibilities, basic spell mechanics, herbs, minerals, incense, casting a circle, pretty much everything I said in the question you deleted.

Also, you could have just added details to your first question instead of deleting it and making a new one.I would have changed my answer to be a bit more mature.

  2. its something you would have a lot of trouble learning today. besides, the time of sorcerers is over, and there is no need for them now. its best you dont know.

  3. It is all a bunch of baloney.   There is no official society or whatever so anyone can make up whatever they want.  Sure there are a host of books on the subject but what makes the people who wrote them experts?  Because they say so?  My nephew was dating a girl who claimed to be a Wiccian and that her father was a Wiccian priest.  After I interrogated her and her father for a few minutes, it became pretty clear that there is no Wiccian university, there is no Wiccian Priest Seminary so basically the guy just read some books at random that who knows who wrote and just started calling himself a Wiccian Priest.  So, I started calling myself a Wiccian Bishop.  Why not?  It is no less valid than his being a Wiccian Priest.

So save yourself a lot of effort and just do what the rest of the Wizards and Sorcerers do.  Just start calling yourself a Wizard or Sorcerer.

  4. It would be the same in the past as it would be now.  They would learn all they could about herbs and herbal remedies, languages, science especially chemistry and physics, astronomy and astrology, meditation, concentration and visualization.  Mathematics, and geography as well as the anthropology of other cultures.  History is very important.

Wizards are out to learn about the universe and all it contains.

Sorcerers are out for power and will find their downfall therein.

    Modern Witch---Blessed be.

PS Ancient stop trying to scare everybody. lol
