  1. Question is quite vague - do you mean what are the problems that FAMILIES FACE.

1 - lack of insurance to pay for needed services

2 - no babysitter for needed time off and respite

3 - issues with siblings because the ASD student takes up so much time

4 - carving out a life that is not only centered on one child with disabilities.

OR from perspective of supporting their student

1 - how to sort out real therapies from those who take your money and don't help your child

2 - what is the most important thing that today needs to happen for my child

3 - how to get a student 'unstuck'

4 - how do deal with students who stay up all night and may walk out the door.

  2. For me as a possible aspie patient I would say my:

    1.attitude

    2. communication

    3. Social interaction

    4. Body movement

  3. You need to put a bit more detail in to your question. As people who suffer from an autistic spectrum disorder are all very different, so they will all have varying difficulties. Because the spectrum is so large the condition can vary greatly between those who have no communication skills to those who appear to communicate very well. Some will be recognised straight away as having a disability whilst those who are higher functioning are able to cover up their disabilities to a degree. None the less all those who have an ASD tend to suffer with social situations, communication and social imagination.
