  1. You forgot

    2 wood

    1 iron

    2 iron

    gap wedge

FYI: They really do not call wedges by names except for pw (pitching wedge) and sw (sand wedge)  after which they usually refer to the wedges by the degrees of loft on them ie: 60 degree wedge, 56 degree wedge and so on.

  2. I use a hybrid club instead of a 3-iron.  I also know a guy that has a 2-iron.

  3. This is what I have in my golf bag:

    Driver

    Wood 3

    Hybrid 3

    Iron 4-9

    PW

    SW

    Putter

    What I don't use:

    Wood 5, Hybrid 4 - 5, Gap Wedge(GW), Lob Wedge (LW), chipper....

  4. that's a lot of clubs..  you can only play with 14 clubs per round..  if you're a beginner, loose the 3 and 4 irons and replace it with a hybrid..  have fun..

  5. If my math is right, you've got too many clubs there.  Is 3-5 wood 3,4 and 5 or just 3& 5?  You're only allowed 14 clubs.   Drop the 3 and 4 irons, either the lob wedge or approach wedge and the 4 wood.  That will leave you

    5-9, (5 clubs)

    PW, AW, SW (3 clubs)

    putter

    3&5 wood (2 clubs)

    Driver

    Total:12 clubs

Get yourself a 19% hybrid for your 13th club and experiment with the ones you removed to make up the 14th.

  6. If you are requesting a comprehensive list of club types available to today's golfers, here is my attempt at a complete list:

    Driver

Fairway Woods - Most commonly #3 & #5, although specialized makes and models do exist. I've seen some golfers with #7, #9, or even #11 fairway woods, although this is pretty uncommon.

Hybrids - A blend of fairway woods and traditional irons (below). These are becoming more and more popular each year, as most golfers find them easier to hit than true fairways, but still able to deliver more distance than a comparable iron.

Irons - Most sets run 3-PW, with some variation for inclusion of hybrids, fairways, or wedges.

Wedges - Pitch, gap, sand, lob, etc. These have distinct lofts, designed to provide certain spins and distances from around the green.

Putter - Several variations here: mallet vs. blade; long vs. short, etc.

If you are looking for information about what other golfers keep in their bags, or what types of clubs you should have in your set, see the other responses, visit some golf forums (most have "What's In My Bag" sections), or ask a local pro shop or golf professional for assistance.
