i used to do drugs, now im clean.

mostly because stress for me.

my mom gives me incredible stress and when im high

i can forget about it and it made me feel good

for once. relaxed and didnt give a d**n bout anything else..

just do it to have a better time, when your high

you just dont care and you let yourself go more and

its easier to get along with people when your on drugs

Why do people esp teens  abuse drugs and alcohol?

Teens use alcohol and other drugs for many reasons. They may do it because they want to fit in with friends or certain groups. They may also take a drug or drink alcohol because they like the way it makes them feel. Or they may believe that it makes them more grown up. Teens tend to try new things and take risks, and they may take drugs or drink alcohol because it seems exciting.

People  with family members who have problems with alcohol or other drugs are more likely to have serious substance abuse problems. Also, teens who feel that they are not connected to or valued by their parents are at greater risk. Teens with poor self-esteem or emotional or mental health problems, such as depression, also are at increased risk.

What problems can teen  substance abuse cause?

Substance abuse can lead to serious problems such as poor schoolwork, loss of friends, problems at home, and lasting legal problems. Alcohol and drug abuse is a leading cause of teen death or injury related to car accidents, suicides, violence, and drowning. Substance abuse can increase the risk of pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), including HIV, because of unprotected s*x.

Even casual use of certain drugs can cause severe medical problems, such as an overdose or brain damage. Many illegal drugs today are made in home labs, so they can vary greatly in strength. These drugs also may contain bacteria, dangerous chemicals, and other unsafe substances

I know from a long history of drug use. (Clean for 4 years now though) People initially  take drugs because they want to escape from certain issues that they dont want to deal with. These issues might be anything from standing up to peer pressure to mentally escaping from a stressful set of circumstances.

Being high seems better than dealing with reality to some people.

The main reason I started drugs, cocaine was my new boyfriend was on it and I was curious after the first high you keep seeking that same high but it's never as good as that first one,  later I took Heroin and Base.  I took Heroin as my parents got custody of my four year old daughter, so I had another baby girl who was born addicted to H and spent two weeks in Intenseive care.  Its six years down the line and I am starting to get back on my feet,  I 2ve done a pain agonsing cluck and am recovering, now to get my boyfriend clean too big job!!I am sick of being arrested for shoplifting and ending up down the police station etc etc I want a NEW life

its not all about "peer pressure" and "doing it to fit in"... some people just do it coz its fun... they experiment to see what it's like... i've done drugs before, it was fun, but i'm not a druggy..just coz you do it like 3 or 4 times doesn't mean you'll get addicted or your a druggy...and it doesnt mean your stupid, its just trying something new, not a big deal... i thinks its stupid when someone constanlty uses and becomes addicted....
