If you are the teacher and you are trying to communicate a direction to your group of children (example...tidy up time) Try looking up "transition routines in daycare centres" you'll find lots and lots. You could do simple things like clap your hands or turn on and off the lights as a communication cue to the children. Good Luck!!

  3. Always be gentle with them. Do not scream, do not yell. They would think you hate them, or you're their enemy, or they'll get scared. Just be calm around them, be nice. They will eventually get friendlier. The friendlier one seems, the less nervous the kid would be. They would think of you as a friend, and listen to you...opposed to being scared of you, are thinking you're their enemy.
