List top ten highest taxed states in US.?

Would like to know top ten states employment/residential taxed states.

States collects sales, income and excise taxes, as well as other fees and taxes.  See the link below for the list from high to low; it may surprise you.  On this basis, Massachusetts is the highest and Connecticut is second.  

Individual income tax brackets vary widely in the states and some states have no individual income tax at all.  See the links for the highest tax rates by state, which go up to 9% or more in California, Oregon and Vermont.  

Some states have no income tax at all, such as Texas and Florida.  They get revenue from other sources, of course.
