Listerine burns my mouth really bad like i could cry... help!!??

i have tried the orange kind but it burns so bad like everytime i rinse i want to cry why is this??

Maybe you just can't handle the strength of Listerine. It's got a pretty high alcohol content, and is known to be one of the harshest mouthwashes.

You probably would do better to change mouthwashes to something less severe like scope, or one without alcohol, like Crest ProCare.

Well It could be that you are having a allergic reaction to something in it.Don't use it anymore and switch to another kind.

There is a mild flavor of listerine, i think its cool blue something, try it.  If it is still too strong for you, you can dilute it with water, it would still work.  Also try buying the "off brand" of listerine, i know target has it, and it is pretty much the same thing, just not as strong!

It's the alcohol in listerine. Buy a mouth wash that does not have alcohol in it.

I think its the chemicals in it. But im not sure. I know this sounds weird but just try getting the kids kind, they have all kinds of flavors that dont burn

i do the exact same thing, so you can try Crest Pro-Health Alcohol Free. the alcohol in the listerine is causing your mouth to burn and make youwant to cry.

Its probably the acid and/or alcohol levels in it. Just change mouthwash to see for sure!

I can't give you the dynamics behind why Listerine burns, but I can give you a tried and true alternative that works everytime and won't burn your mouth.... rinse and/or gargle with salt water.  Kills everything and is more natural, I would think.  I've starting doing it and have noticed an improvement, and my Dad has always done it and he has always had amazing oral health.

That happens to me to i think its just because of all the chemicals in it, they just burn some peoples mouthes. But try using a generic brand of mouthwash they dont seem to burn as bad, like if you shop at target but target brand or wherever you go.
