Listerine whitening prebrush making my tongue numb?

i have been using listerine whitening prebrush for 2 days and it is making my tongue numb..is this suppose to happen?have this ever happened to you?

Hello...To be honest with you, after using Listerine my tongue never stopped burning long enough for me to find out if it was also numb......I'm not in to self inflicted pain so I change brands...
