  1. Yes & use a regular rectangular litter box. Not those corner boxes, they're worthless when it comes time to clean! Yesterday News Litter is excellent for ferrets. Regular kitty litter is not recommended for ferts.

  2. YES! Life will be much easier! You just scoop out the litter instead of having to scrub all of the waste off the cage! Also, get a large, high backed pan. Corner boxes tend to be small for some ferrets, and high backed pans will catch any "accidents".

  3. Yes it will make life easier for you if you litter train them!  Make sure you don't use cat litter, only recycled paper products like yesterdays news or carefresh.

  4. ya

  5. I say yes, it is easier to clean up their cage if they have a pan, but they may not be potty trained. Even if they aren't it is worth the time of training them to use the pan.

This website has some very good information on litter training your ferret (s), good luck!

  6. a litter box is certainly easier to clean than a shed...and ferrets go potty a LOT. (doesn't take long for their food to go thru them, you see.) i'm not sure what kind of modifications you have in mind for the shed, but i imagine a litter box would still make it easier to clean out. and even though these gals probably won't be 100% litter trained as well as a cat might be, it's still worth putting one or two in the court.

don't forget their jill jabs if they aren't going to be spayed.
