Little Arrows to aim the Original Rude Boys Apprentice Handicap at Leopardstown

Leopardstown will become home for the Original Rude Boys Apprentice Handicap over a mile on Thursday, 14th June. The race has attracted a line-up of twelve three-year and older runners who will invade the track today in order to get entitled to
the €5,520 prize money.
A few have raced there but could not make the most out of the chance that they were exposed to.
Little Arrows, Danehill Dancer’s six-year-old bay gelding out of mare, Lovers Walk, has been active nine times during the current season, none of the races that he undertook could culminate into a win. Two of the races were at Leopardstown with an eighth
position which got notched up to a runner up’s slot by the second race at the same race course.
His initial try of the season at Leopardstown was in the Spin 103.8 Handicap over a mile and two furlongs on 28th March. The race was won by the 100/30 favourite of the race, Robin Hood, while Little Arrows ended eighth on the field of nine.
His most recent outing of the season was in the Bipolar Empire Apprentice Handicap on 8th June at Leopardstown over a mile. The 4/1 joint favourite six-year-old settled right next to the winner, No Trimmings, who led the track by just half a length.
Taking up the third slot was Confident Cub while the other joint favourite, Adam’s Return, managed the fifth position on the track of ten.
He is racing for a tenth time during the new season today and is trying his luck at the race course for a third time. His improvement there is quite significant and an attached chance today has surged his possibility of grabbing the race.
He will need to stay at guard from Bendzoldan, the four-year-old bay filly who has raced thrice during the new season and has improved drastically with the last two attempts resulting in a second and then a first position.
She was the 4/1 favourite winner of the Samsung Star Handicap on 1st June at Down Royal over seven furlongs. Riding with F. M. Berry, she led the runner up of the race, Lift The Gloom, by 2 ¾ lengths.
