Little Gent expected to win in the Stadium Bookmakers Maiden Puppy 480m Trophy at Nottingham, while Blue Fox Babe could upset the ace hound
It’s a no brainer that the white and brindle dog, Little Gent, against an average lineup will make a successful debut at Nottingham, when he takes a crack at the venue he has never raced on before in the Grade OR Stadium Bookmakers Maiden Puppy 480m Trophy at Nottingham on 5 March, 2012, at about 480 metres with the winning prize of £150.
The P. Rosney trainee has been sharp at Monmore and Belle Vue, but when he was asked to step up in the Grade OR races, he lacked conviction finishing 3rd and 5th on 11 February and 18 February, respectively.
The son of Shaneboy Lee, out of Patterdale Chloe, Little Gent has another Grade OR race to contend with, and it wouldn’t be easy going against A. Grewcock trained fawn dog, Blue Fox Babe, who hasn’t dwelled in big boys company and yet to have won his maiden race, but whatever has been thrown at him he has come out successful from it so far.
The son of Crash, out of Vieris Surething, Blue Fox Babe has been undefeated in his little career so far, which has spanned up to four races.
Making all his starts at Nottingham, Blue Fox Babe has won 3 out of the 4 races he raced in, once pulling out of a Grade A3 at about 500 metres.
Sent at 11 to 4, Junes Deezy has more experience in OR races recently than anyone on the field, but without much success. Finishing 6th, 4th and as a runner-up in her last three races, P. Rosney trained hound could spur up a surprise or two.
The black b***h, Faypoint Annie, sent at 9 to 2 has finished on the board marginally in her last couple of T3 races. She raced at Nottingham in her penultimate race over a distance of 305 metres and finished 3rd. The daughter of Premier Fantasy is coming off another 3rd place finish at Monmore in a 264 metre sprint.
Blue Fox Babe currently sitting at the bottom of the betting card could have something substantial in stored for the fans this evening, while Little Gent will have his work cut out, but he is surely a pick for the win, while Faypoint Annie could settle for another third place finish for the third time on the trot.
