Little Reminder all set to book place in final of Stadium Bookmakers National Sprint at Nottingham
Little Reminder is performing at the top of his game these days, looking quite solid to book a berth in the final of Stadium Bookmakers National Sprint, by winning Monday’s first-semi at Nottingham.
Currently standing in the sixth stall, the back dog is geared up to do some damage. He performed extraordinarily in the last round of the championship. Clocking the distance in just 17.60 seconds, P. Rosney’s charge claimed the victory by three and a half
lengths.
Any crowding on the inside would further enhance his chances. The latest victory did not come out of the blue, as he scored a couple of times prior to that. The son of Ballymac Ruso reached here after facing a couple of unlucky losses at Sheffield.
The 2-year-old hardly took any time to regain momentum on his return to this track. On November 19th, he beat Billymatt by a short head’s distance. Another classy win was bagged by him at the end of last month, when he overpowered Frisby Barney
by 2¾ lengths.
After three straight wins, Little Reminder is hungry for more. The draw is no issue at all. So, he just needs to continue giving his one hundred percent to dominate the proceedings today.
Other hounds in the crew are: Drumcove Lad, Comeragh King, Goa Storm, Lissom Jack, and Ceroc Swift. The race is due to begin at 20:52 GMT.
Switching to the red vest could be helpful for Goa Storm, who was second to Oscars Cobra last time around. On the other hand, Drumcove Lad - the defending champion - remains a leading contender. Despite his terrible loss in the last round, it is hard to
rule out his chances.
The lightly raced type, Comeragh King, is making up into capable sort. The black dog defeated Whack Wallop by a head’s distance in the previous round.
Ceroc Swift raised a few eyebrows by winning the heat, but needs even more to repeat the show today. Lissom Jack, without any doubt, is a powerful hound. But his inconsistency at the trap can prove costly at this level.
