The Grade OR Stadium Bookmakers Maiden Sprint is set go underway at Nottingham on 5 March, 2012, over a distance of 305 metres with the prize money of £150.
P. Rosney trained Little Reminder is sent at 2 to 1, as the black dog is exiting a second place finish at Monmore at about 480 metres to winner Little Gent. The son of Ballymac Ruso, out of Little Diva finished second by 1 ½ lengths, and he is expected
to improve with more experience.
Whelped in 24 August, 2010, Little Reminder has raced four times in his career which started on 10 January, 2012, with a win in the 264 metre long sprint. He bagged his next race over the same venue and over the same distance.
However, the black dog in his recent two outings got stretched out in distance to 480 metres, and that’s when he finished 6th in a Grade OR race and second in a 480 metres event.
Based on his performances in sprints, the hound is expected to do well in today’s Stadium Bookmakers Maiden Sprint.
Romeo You Decide on the other hand is sent at 6 to 4, and he is expected to take the sprint today with 3 races at Nottingham with a win in his debut race over at 305 metres on 11 February, 2012, with the winning time of 18.47 seconds as he defeated
Fabulous Ferry by 3 lengths.
Fabulous Ferry than came back strong in the next race which was stretched out to 500 metres and defeated Romeo You Decide by a mere length in second.
The D. Firmager trained son of Brett Lee, out of Fabulous Jodie finished 6th in his last race, a Grade OR race over a distance of 305 metres.
Dantay Flyer and Funcheon Lad are sent at 6 to 1, and have been winless in their last three starts. Both these hounds have been racing at the highest level as Funcheon Lad has been participating in Grade OR races mostly and Dantay Flyer in Grade A1
races.
A. Grewcock trained Dantay Flyer has a slight edge over Funcheon Lad because the former has been consistently running at Nottingham compared to Funcheon Lad’s two outings at the venue.
All the hounds are evenly matched in the Stadium Bookmakers Maiden Sprint, but Little Reminder and Romeo You Decide could notch the first two positions followed in by Dantay Flyer.
