Question:

Little Ways To Help Around The House?

I'm 15, and my mum just told me that all I do is "Take, take, take". I already mow the lawn, and put away the dishes but I guess I'm not doing enough. What are some other ways I can help? She starts yelling whenever I ask her if I can help with something.

  1. same here man!! haha im the same age as you as well.  what i do is take out the recycling out, take out the garbage, wash the dishes even then put them away. thats it basically theres not much more that we can do at this age given we cannot drive yet and get groceries, which reminds me , you can help her with those too when you get a chance if she is coming home.

    good luck man!

  2. Its great that you do help.  Other ways---clean the bathroom, dust, vaccuum, sweep, wash the car, clean the mirrors, and if you have a glass front door, keep your stuff put in its place, cook supper every now and then, change the sheets for your mom, mop, organize things,  and I could go on and on.  Here are some ideas so go for it.

  3. Pick up after yourself.  If you take something into the living room, take it with you when you leave.  After you finish your meal, take your dishes to the sink and possible put them into the dishwasher.  Put your dirty cloths into the laundry room to be washed.  Don't make her always come get them.  Clean up after yourself in the bathroom.  Do these things without being told and without a word from you.  Just do them.
