  1. Put it in a box to recover to protect it from cats. When it feels well enough it will fly off. If it dies that is one of the hazards of being a wild bird.I

  2. pick it up and put in dim lit room in a box with some type of lid on it with air holes. Give it some time to recover as they often do after colliding with windows. If it does not seem better in a hour or so then call vet that takes in injured wildlife. This is free for all wildlife. They may refer you to a wildlife rehabber in your area that will take it and care for it which is free also. You just have to transport there. Put a shallow cap of water in with it and a shallow cap of food so if it recovers enough it can gain strength with food and water. Best bet is getting to vet or rehabber.

  3. pick it up and bring it to the vet

  4. If there appears to be a break, please get him to a vet or wildlife rehabber ASAP.

If there is no obvious trauma (like a break), if the bird is unconscious or stunned, place him in a dark box and keep him warm and quiet.

If you see blood anywhere (particularly around the nares, beak or in his poops), if there is any swelling around the eyes or one eye doesn't open, if there are any unusual movements of the head or body (such as circling in one direction or constantly looking up at the sky), if either wing is drooping more than the other or if both wings are drooping and the bird can't bring them into position, if he's favoring either leg, if he's gasping or breathing open-mouthed and this doesn't subside within an hour - then he needs help and you'll have to find a local rehabber IMMEDIATELY.

If after an hour he looks alert and doesn't show any of the above signs, give him another hour to rest in the box. Then check again, If he looks normal and is bright eyed then open the box and see if he's able to fly away.

Do NOT feed him or give him water. If he loses consciousness or isn't alert he could aspirate

    Hope this helps,

    Colette

  5. Sounds like a silvereye. It's going to die unless you take it too a vet
