Little brother felony warrants?jail?prison>?

My brother got arrested when he was 17 and was tried as a adult for 2 felonys(false pretense 2 counts) in state of Mississippi,and our attorney got the charged made into 1 felony,and I was wonder,since this is his first time being in trouble,is he going to prison?what will happen,I dont want my younger brother in jail,thats a scary thought even though he did do the crime,he wrote a check for 2 cars,which is false pretense in MS,felony,but like i said,the attorney combined both his charges into one,so what might happen?

If he lucks out he might get probation.  I would expect that he will probably see some time out of this one, however.  I hate to see a young kid get it like this, but it's an unfortunate situation and the court will more than likely give him a stint in the pin.  The amount of time that he could receive will depend on what the advisory sentence is for the crime in the state of Mississippi.  I really hope that I'm wrong.  Best of luck.
