Little brother keeps biting things.?

My 5 year old brother keeps biting onto things he sees. He bites on his backpack strap, his toys and anything he likes. I keep telling him not to bite stuff but he won't listen. I'm afraid that he'll bite something that has a lot of germs on it and get sick. He's improving a little now.

  1. Inform your parents, I am sure they will come up with a way to resolve this.

Nice to hear you care so much about your little brother :-)

  2. buy him a safe toy-like a dog one and get him to bite that.

or put chili in his mouth-my parents did that to me

  3. tell your parents and als o ask him why he is doing this. Maybe something is wrong with his teeth because when my teeth hurt to remove pressure i would bite something. I hope this helped!

  4. My son use to bite on the collar of his shirt, it drove me nutzzz but he did eventually grow out of it after about 6 months. He might be about to loose some teeth maybe and feeling the urge to bite. Check and see if he has a habit of grinding his teeth at night when he sleeps, that might be another reason.

Kids might grind their teeth as a way to ease the pain, just as they might rub a sore muscle. Most kids outgrow these fairly common causes for grinding. Stress, usually nervous tension or anger is another cause. For instance, your child may be worrying about a test at school or experiencing a change in routine (a new sibling or a new teacher). Even arguing with parents and siblings can cause enough stress to prompt teeth grinding or jaw clenching. The most common reason is your stress level. People tend to clench their teeth at night when a stressful situation bothers them. Without knowing you will just bite so hard that your muscles are hurt. Then when you are asleep your jaws are moving so hard that the chewing surfaces are damaged.

  5. he just teething and will wvwntually have permament teeth.

  6. Tell him not to bite things and he could get sick and die if he bites on something with a lot of germs. I tried it on my brother and it worked. He reacted quickly too. try it, it might not be the "nicest" wway to handle things but, you want him to stop right? try it, its so carzy it just might work.:)

  7. ok bribe him ,say if you dont bite something for one week i will give you lollies

if you dont bite for 2 weeks............ect,ect,ect,ect,ect,ect...

  8. my little brither does that too.keep stuff that is private of dangerous out of reach

  9. He may be teething. Just like a little child,it feels good to put pressure on the tender area that teeth are breaking through. He may be getting his 6 year molars in. There is also another condition called pica. This is when people will chew on or eat items considered uneatable. This can be dangerous, keep an eye on what he is chewing on. I would be more worried of what instead of the germs.

  10. how old r u??
