Little bumps on my eye?

i get little bumps on the color part of my eye. they are super irrating, and hurt my eye lids when i blink, after a few hours they just go away! they do come and go often, what could they be? and what is causing them?

LOLA - are you sure these are 'bumps' on your eyes and not just eye mucus?  If your eyes are irritated and overproducing mucus you can get little bits of mucus on your eyes - it makes your eyes feel gritty.  The bumps 'go away' when your tears wash the mucus away.

Get some Eye Wash (approx $4 for a 4 ounce bottle) at your local drugstore and rinse your eyes out when that happens.  I have allergies, so I generally rinse my eyes with eye wash every morning and evening.  Also, I keep a bottle in my purse and use it as needed (whenever my eyes feel irritated or gritty).

You got me on this one.  I'd have to actually see what you are talking about to make a diagnosis.  I  would recommend going in immediately the next time this happens and let a doc look while you are experiencing the problem.
