  1. I had rabbits way back when and many rabbits at a Rabbit Fair got injured because little kids were rough with them.  Maybe let Chloe know that they are too small and fragile to hold.  That they are only allowed to look at them because they are easily injured.  Even if you get bossed around and Chloe or someone holds them, maybe they will then be careful enough not to injure them, but I doubt that I would say that it is permissible to handle them.

  2. Aww bless the little girls, they just wanna love the bunnies :-)

Unfortunately this is a common problem with children and rabbits, the kids just want to cuddle the bunnies, but the majority of rabbits just don't like to be picked up.

Maybe it would be a good all-round solution if you explained to all the people concerned that they need to be very quiet around the rabbits as they are still new and quite nervous, as for the picking up, just let the girls sit on the floor and put the bunnies on their laps for some fuss.  If you can see that the rabbits are starting to fret, point it out to the two little girls, and tell them it would be best to leave them be for a little while to let them calm down.

  3. Pretend your not in............... or just go out for the day and say you forgot they were coming.

  4. If these are your pets, you have the responsibility to them. Make sure that your guest knows that no one else can promise anything about your pets. That they are welcome to see the pets, but only allow the guest to hold them if you want, and however long you want. Make it crystal clear from the very first moment they ask to see the pet, the guidelines they need to follow. Make sure they know this is for the emotional health and safety of the pets.  When you feel the dwarfs have had enough, tell them "Ok, they have had enough now, why don't we go do something else and let them have a rest."

Then find something else fun to do.

  5. I thought everyone was tall in the Netherlands, can't believe they have dwarfs and ones you can actually buy, surely thats slavery ?!?!?!

With the rabbits can't you just buy a small pen, we have our house rabbit in our kitchen, she has a cage and it has a fenced off area around it all that she can run around, relax and play and it also keeps the baby out, we open it up at night once he is in bed for her to stretch her legs around the lounge etc., of course you can't let your run riot until they are potty trained but the small pen only cost £30 and it looks neat and tidy, just don't let a kid hold a rabbit, its simple to say no, ours does not like been handled full stop so we never pick her up anyway, though she likes being stroked
