Question:

Little known greenhouse gas: should we ban it or restrict it?

I'm concerned that we are not paying enough attention to dihydrogen monoxide (aka hydroxilic acid).

it's used primarily as an industrial solvent and coolant, as a fire retardant, it contributes to the greenhouse effect and it is caustic enough to erode most metals.

Have any of you read about this, and shouldn't we ban or restrict this type of chemical?

  1. No, we shouldn't ban water vapor, neither should we ban carbon dioxide.  We do need to control the amount of certain greenhouse gases, but water vapor is not one we can or should control--it is self-regulating dependent upon ocean temperatures.

By the way, your question is of course idiotic and fools no one.

  2. Oh wow, you have discovered something climate scientists never considered.  Yes, let's ban water ;-)

  3. You are an ***.

WTF did you think we are all retards?

    dihydrogen monoxide is WATER!

    geez.

  4. Oh no! Not the dreaded H2O!  Definitely ban it! It's especially dangerous if inhaled. And immersing your head in it for five minutes will likely prove fatal! Beware!

  5. wow u guys sure know how to use google but yeah anyways hippies r dumb and i'm the greatest anyways but yeah water actually is dangerous it can carry many viruses and bacteria so it does kill

  6. I'm more worried about the number one greenhouse gas. Water vapor. We must do something immediately about the clouds, they must be banned.

  7. OHH

    .. .. ..

You heard of the deadly element that can make people stop breathing

    .. . ..

It can cause accidents while driving an automobile

    .. .. ..

And if not controlled it can wipe out whole cities

    .. . ..

WE GOT TO STOP THIS DANGEROUS STUFF

    .. .. ..

or else all of humanity will be like back in the bible wiped out

    .. . ..

  8. Hahaha. But old. Calling water dihydrogen monoxide or some other obscure chemical name and then telling people all its bad effects is a really old trick.

  9. HAHA - I've never heard it called hydroxilic acid.  Not exactly accurate, considering it has a pH of 7.
