Is being a long term customer to a bank worth any good pertaining to credit?

And does it look good, bad, or neutral to have accounts at a couple different banks?

  1. This will not show up on your credit report at all. Having accounts at different banks also has no bearing on your credit report. Banks only report if you have a loan from them. Only your creditors report your payment history to the credit bureaus.


  2. the number of accounts you have makes no difference, it is only any bad debt you have had that will negatively affect your rating. If you are a long standing customer the bank will be more aware of your financial history and this can help, especially if you have not had a demonstrable history of getting credit and managing the repayments correctly.
