With just 10 runs on the board, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Hamisi-Abdallah-c61368 also found his way back to the pavilion when he was run-out in the third over after scoring just four runs.
This was certainly not the kind of start South Africa were looking for as they needed to get off to a flying start against a team like Australia.
Nonetheless, middle-order batsmen http://www.senore.com/Cricket/JP-Duminy-c1742 took charge of things as they prevented Australia from grabbing another wicket by exhibiting stupendous batting against a rampant bowling onslaught that was unleashed by the Aussies.
The duo bolstered an innings of 58 runs in the third-wicket partnership, reducing the Australian bowling arsenal to rubble.
It was then on the penultimate delivery of the 12th over when Australia struck again as pacer James Pattinson grabbed the wicket of Ingram, who after scoring 33 runs off 28 deliveries was caught by http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Iftikhar-Ali-Khan-Pataudi-Nawab-of-c64075 Cummins.
At the time of this wicket, the Proteas had managed to post 68 runs for the loss of three wickets.
Next to come in was 22-year-old left-hand batsman http://www.senore.com/Cricket/David-Lawson-Miller-c53037 who without hesitation forged an astounding partnership with Duminy as the two batsmen stood defiant against the Australians.
After getting rid of Ingram, Australia were hoping to make a comeback in the match, however, the arrival of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Miller-c76318 denied them this opportunity.
The dangerous duo of Duminy and Miller mustered 65 runs in the fourth-wicket partnership as they took the South African total to 133 runs in 18.3 overs.
Duminy was then dismissed by Cummins when after playing an exuberant knock of 67 runs off 53 deliveries the batsman was caught by http://www.senore.com/Cricket/SR-Watson-c2558 at cover.
On the next delivery, Cummins struck again by bagging the wicket of Miller, who after smashing 20 runs off 19 deliveries was caught by http://www.senore.com/Cricket/DA-Warner-c1301 at long-off.
Australia then restricted the hosts from scoring runs at will as http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757 finished their innings below a tally of 150 runs.
From Australia, Cummins grabbed three wickets while Bollinger, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/James-Pattinson-c1653 bagged one wicket each.
Australia would now have to bat with maturity to overcome the required target against a dangerous South African fielding side.
