Live Entertainment in Philadelphia?

Question

My artist will be in Philly for a show on 8/3 and we want to meet NEW fans while we are there. Know any spots that feature/ might be interested in a live soul act for Aug 4 or Aug 5? It could be paid or not...coffee house or a restaurant or a smoky club - we don't mind so long as it's reasonably safe. If you live in or near Philly, please let me know the good spots for LIVE soul. If you don't live in Philly, feel free to ask your Myspace friends or relatives who do live there.

It's a jazzy alternative soul sound - neo soul if you want to tag it - but you can go to www.myspace.com/gemavery to get a feel for what we offer and what places might welcome the act.

Khyber Pass on Chestnut (I think) might be a good place to ask. Last time I was there Len Berry (1-2-3) was the bartender

You should definitly check out www.xpn.org.  the world cafe usually features great new, and lesser known artists.
