In the second innings of the ongoing second Test against Australia, Sri Lanka has reached 164 for two at the end of the second session on Day-4 at Pallekele Cricket Stadium on Sunday, September 11, 2011.
With eight wickets remaining, the islanders are still 73 runs behind http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746’s first innings total of 411/7. The Aussies declared their innings on overnight score in an attempt to wash out Sri Lanka once again on paltry but the two best Lankan are still
standing in their way.
At tea, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/DPMD-Jayawardene-c1397 are unbeaten with individual scores of 35 and 13 respectively. Although, the veteran duo looked solid in the second session, there is still a lot of work to be done in order to save the game.

In the second session, only one wicket fell when http://www.senore.com/Cricket/MJ-Clarke-c1978 introduced Hussey in the final over before drinks. The part-time bowler rose to occasion and broke the partnership, showing Tharanga the way back to the dressing room.

Despite the fact that the rain and the bad light are expected to spoil the party in the succeeding four sessions of the game, the Aussie side is still in a good position to win the game and secure the series 2-0.
