Live leaderboard of Alstom Open de France
Alstom Open de France has kicked off on the par-71 Le Golf National in Paris, France with a star-studded field. Here is a look at the leaderboard of the event carrying a purse of €3,000,000.
Noh-Seung-Yul teed-off from the front to claim the 31st spot. He dropped two shots in the start, but recovered with an equal number of birdies. The leader of 2010 Asian money-list marched towards the back with a score at par and double-bogeyed
the par-4, 13th, which broke his pace. Despite that, the 20-year-old managed to pick a birdie on the immediate hole to minimise the effects of the early blow.
Italian ace Eduardo Molinari wrapped the day with a score of 4-over-par, 75. The veteran dropped three shots at the back and two in the front against a single birdie, which leaves him in a dangerous spot that can lead him out of the tournament.
Like Molinari, BMW International Open winner Pablo Larrazabal could not do any better. The Spaniard double-bogeyed two holes at the back, after birdying two holes in the start of the day. The player marched towards the front to test his thriftiness against
the wind, but could not create much of a difference; he dropped one more shot and wrapped the day in the 57th place.
Johan Edfors was not much different from rest of the field. The Swede dropped four shots in the day against a single birdie, which spoiled his scorecard. The player clamped one more birdie towards the end of the round
Brendan Steele, who won the Valero Texas Open in April, teed-off from the back, bogeyed the par-4, 12th and double bogeyed the par-4 18th. The loss left him with a score of 3-over-par. Making his way towards the front, the player dropped
one more shot and sealed the day with a score of 4-over-par.
Miguel Angel Jimenez is yet to tee-off. The Spaniard seemed really confident about his chances to lift the trophy, and will be hoping for a good start.
