Live leaderboard of BMW PGA Championship Round 1 - Part 3
European Tour’s BMW PGA Championship is underway at the par-71 Wentworth Golf Club. Here is a quick look at the leader board.
Four Englishmen sit at the 12th spot of the leader board with a score at 1-over par. The list includes Robert Coles, David Howell, David Horsey and Simon Dyson.
Y.E Yang has completed the first 17 holes and he is sitting on eighth spot on the leader board with a score of 1-under par. The Korean reeled three birdies against equal number of bogeys to compile that score.
Ian Poulter, Justin Rose, Ernie Els, Paul Casey still have a battle ground to sort. Poulter who won the Volvo Golf Match Play Championship is waiting for his turn at the second hole and he has par-equalled the first. Similar start
has been taken by Casey, who has not picked up a point yet.
World number one Lee Westwood, who had been bidding on a victory, kicked off with a terrible pace. The Englishman dropped a shot at the third, could not find the fairway on the sixth and missed a 3-inch short birdie putt on the
eight hole. He wrapped the front at 1-over par. However, on his way to the back, the player smashed a 178-yard long tee shot at the tenth tee and managed to birdie it from ten feet. He is left with three holes and he is nowhere near the position that he wanted
to be in.
Meanwhile, world number three Martin Kaymer is 1-over par after the first three holes. The German bogeyed the first, birdied the second and once again, missed a par-putt at the immediate hole.
Noh Seung-Yul of Korea has kicked off with a slow start, owing to the windy fairways. The player smashed a tee shot on the first tee towards the right side of the fairway, but the ball deflected because of the direction of the
wind and landed in the rough on the left side. The rookie took out his wedge to retrieve the ball, but could not save par.
