Question:

Live video editing??!!?

I help out with the tech stuff for my church and we are trying to figure out a way to stream multiple cameras on our screens. We have one device (I don't know what it's called) that you can plug four cameras into it, and switch the display...the problem we are having is:

A. The chord isn't long enough, so we can't spread them out to get a variety of angles.

B. We can't see all of the camera displays at once to see what picture is best to put on the screen.

If anyone has a solution, or knows software, or has advice then please answer. Also if anyone is a production manager or something who knows this kind of stuff, I need help! Pretty please???

  2. For starters, there is NO god.

Video Chords dont exist, only video cords.

Get longer CORDS or splicers and extensions.

The thing that you don't know what to call is a video mixer.

You have to get 4 monitors and split the each camera feeds using splitters, so you will have 4 preview monitors and 1 feed monitor which is after the video switch.
