Question:

Live365: Safe?

I've been listening to Live365, the online radio site, for a couple of days. It recently prompted me to register to continue my free services, and said that registering was completely free. If I register, is it safe? Like, are there any things illegal that can happen with a free membership? Please help!

  1. don't worry

  2. No since the radio station streamers are the ones paying all the fees, you won't have the RIAA after you, if that is what you are worried about.

Usually internet experts will advise you, that if you are worried about spam and such to get a web-based email address such as a hotmail, yahoo, or gmail account register there and then when something prompts you to register, to use that email address instead.

Live 365 only wants the information registration more for statistics to prove to supporters and such where it's listeners are from for instance and for setting up personal favorites  etc etc.

And if you are worried, I've been personally registered with live 365 for 2 years now and about the only things I've ever got out of them was a couple of emails advertising their product

  3. Live365 is totally safe. My college streams their radio station on Live365. Check it out when you get a chance. It's Colt Rock Radio.
