Kenneth Mathieson Kenny Dalglish is a retired Scottish football player and a football manager. He is currently serving the Premier League club, Liverpool F.C as a care-taker manager. As a footballer, Dalglish played for Celtic, Scottish National Football

2. Bob Paisley

with Liverpool F.C. and then became the manager of the side. His time period with the Reds spans nearly half a century, including his position as first a player and then a manager.
He was appointed as the Liverpool manager in 1974 – a position he held for nine solid years. He steered the English club to three European Cups, one UEFA Cup, six League Titles, three League Cups, one UEFA Super Cup and five Community Shields. Paisley is
regarded by many as the best Liverpool manager of all time – an honour he rightly deserves. He passed away on February 14, 1996 at the age of 77.

Shankly is best remembered for his managerial career with the Liverpool side. He took over the club in 1959, when it was plunged into the darkness of failure. The Scottish boss elevated the English club’s standards by transforming the team into a major playing
force in the Premier League. During his fifteen year career in Anfield, he led the club in winning three league championships, two FA Cups, one UEFA Cup and the 1974 FA Cup Final.
Shankly bought players like Ian St. John, Ron Yeats, Gordon Milne and Peter Thompson, who aided in rebuilding the English squad. Had it not been for Shankly, Liverpool would have never made such an inspiring history. He is truly the best Red’s manager ever.
