Liverpool FC owner John W. Henry insists that Kenny Dalglish has not been handed a permanent deal yet
Liverpool FC owner John W. Henry has denied all the reports suggesting Kenny Dalglish had been handed a permanent deal as manager of the club. He said that discussions for the future of Dalglish are yet to take place and no deal
has taken place as of now.
Liverpool has seen a revival under caretaker manager Kenny Dalglish and has climbed the Barclay’s Premier League table to sixth place after a poor season under former manager Roy Hodgson. The Merseyside club are currently sixth
with 42 points and fighting for an unlikely UEFA Champions League fourth spot.

and left the club in 12th place on the Premier League table.
John W. Henry has denied reports that Dalglish has signed a two-year deal with the club and said that talks have not progressed that far. He added that the only discussions he has had with the Liverpool manager is when the talks
will begin for his future.
“The only discussion we’ve had has been with Kenny and that was solely concerning when we should begin discussions,” the American was quoted as saying.
The American further added that a public announcement will be made if something materializes and anything up to that point of time is mere speculation. He said that whenever the talks for Dalglish’s future will start it will be
made clear, however, nothing had been finalized yet.
“I wouldn’t anticipate any further comments until such discussions have commenced and we have something to announce. Any reports until then are purely speculation,” concluded Henry.
