After taking a brief look at the match report and rating Brad Jones and Martin Skrtel’s performances it is now time to take a look at the rest of the Liverpool players.

One of the contenders for Man-of-the-Match, Henderson has really impressed over the past few matches following a solid performance against Aston Villa up with an industrious showing against Blackburn http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rovers-c40385.
Forced to play as an emergency right-back for the majority of the match after John Flanagan was substituted for Brad Jones, Henderson easily covered the most area of the pitch during the ninety minutes.
Joining in nearly every attack possible, the Under-21 http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 Captain never failed to track back and join the back four.
He may not have been in midfield, yet his performance was one that should impress every Liverpool fan.
Maxi Rodriguez – 9
Maxi is one the oddest players to have graced the Premier League, in the sense that his goals-to-minutes ratio has to be higher than nearly everyone else in the Liverpool squad if not the entire league.
The Argentine international gave Liverpool a goal lead within 15 minutes of his first start in ages. Both goals may have been tap ins but the Reds have been struggling to convert even those in recent weeks.
It was an assured performance from Maxi who was substituted in the second half and will have given Kenny Dalglish food for thought in terms of whether or not to start him in the FA Cup semi-final against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Everton-c39043.
Andy Carroll – 8.5
Dalglish opted to rest the club’s top scorer, Luis Suarez, and started with the under pressure former Newcastle United star upfront. In return, Carroll put in an energetic shift, the likes of which he has rarely produced this season.
He held the ball up well and managed to get a few knock-ons for his wingers as well and in general posed plenty of problems for the Blackburn defence, winning a considerable number of free-kicks just outside the opposition penalty area.
Carroll could have and probably should have scored two goals on the night with one his efforts going narrowly wide after he connected with the ball no more than four yards out. His header however, failed to find the target.
Yet, the imposing striker more than made up for it in injury time when his powerful header beat http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Paul-Robinson-c29389, after Daniel Agger’s nod-on, to give Liverpool a late lead in the match.
His celebration said it all as he wheeled away to the delirious Liverpool fans to celebrate. Easily, Carroll’s best match in a http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 shirt this season and one that both he and everyone in the club will be looking for more of.
Flop of the Match
John Flanagan – 2
Flanagan had a nightmare of a match against Blackburn as he was unable to deal with the pressure from the Blackburn players. Booked for a silly challenge early on, Flanagan was lucky not to be sent off for another rash one moments later.
Yet, his misery was compounded when his back pass found an opposition player and cost his side a penalty. That was his last involvement in the match as he was substituted by Dalglish.
