  1. Liverpool have appointed Damien Comolli as their director of football strategy and he will join the club with immediate effect. The former Tottenham director of football was sacked by the club in October 2008 and the Frenchman spent three years at White Hart Lane. Since then, Comolli returned to France and worked with St Etienne as their sporting director.
