Oh yes, who could possibly argue with that in-depth intelligent analysis? I guess we should just look past the fact that Liverpool had the best defencive record last season, and how Reina won the Golden Gloves award for the third year running, and how Liverpool scored more goals than Manchester United in 2007-08. None of that matters, because you say so!

In my opinion, yes the two stand out stars for liverpool are Gerrard and Torres, but liverpool can not really expect to have teams with the strength of man utd and chelsea as they do not seem to have the same amount of money available to them.

all the same i think liverpool do have some other very impressive players,Carragher, Alonso, Mascherano, Keane and Reina are all top players.

Liverpool have two world class players within Torres and Gerrard and have players that are good such as Alonso and Carragher but with reality Man Utd and Chelsea pretty much have about 8 world class players on the pitch hence they do better than Liverpool.

Considering Reina has won the golden gloves three years in a row I'd say he's worth a mention.

Just because Benitez didn't overpay for players by say 10 million pounds it doesn't mean they aren't as good as 'ski's players. That's the only difference, Chelsea can boast their players are worth 20 million each cos they overpaid for them.

It's also a poor reflection on Chelsea that a Liverpool side consisting of two players has beaten your team on several occasions in CL.

Your saying Reina has the golden gloves three years in a row but he didnt do anything outstanding last season cant remember watching m.o.d and seeing him pull off a string full of saves, james van der sar cech and friedel were all better keepers last season. James against bolton, friedel against united two games that stand out. An the reason they have the best defence is because there such a boring team who play an italian style of football. They are a two man team i said that all through last season! Babel could of made it a 3 man team but for some reason there t**t of a manager leaves him on the bench. Keano might be in with a shout of making it a 3 man, however i dont see how two players with the same style can play upfront together.
