  1. I stayed in Southport last week for £20 a night.  35 minutes by train to Liverpool, but S'port is a nice place in its own right.

  2. bed and breakfast area - woo hoo!

  3. Depends what type of transport you mean.

By car, there are a couple of Travel Lodge type places along the A580 - a couple near Haydock / St Helens and another near kirkby. If you need public transport, I would recommend Southport, there are many B&B places there and the trains run every 15 minutes to and from Liverpool - 40 mins travel time to Liverpool Central.

  4. There's a YHA youth hostel near Wapping (part of the docks). 10-15 minutes walk away is Paradise Street Bus Station and you can walk through there to get to the Liverpool 1 shopping centre, which in turn, allows you to walk through to many more shops, restaurants, pubs, clubs and bars as well as Liverpool Central and Lime Street Train stations

  5. Theres a couple down the bottom of edge lane with a bus stop about 100 yds away with a 5 minute bus ride to town. Hope i was able to help you.

  6. B and B in Liverpool, if there are any, they will be full of asylum seekers.

There is one on Sheil Road in Kensington but as i mentioned it will be full of foreigners
